Juliana Grigoryan is an Armenian lyric soprano whose artistry, vocal beauty, and dramatic sensitivity have established her as one of the most compelling young singers on today’s international opera stage.
Her international breakthrough came in 2022 when she won Grand Prize at the International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition. Following her both First Prize and the Audience Prize at Plácido Domingo’s Operalia World Opera Competition.
Grigoryan has appeared at prestigious venues including Teatro alla Scala, The Metropolitan Opera, Royal Ballet and Opera , Dutch National Opera, Arena di Verona, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Bayerische Staatsoper and e.t.c.
Her repertoire includes celebrated lyric soprano roles such as Mimì (La bohème), Liù (Turandot),, Musetta (La bohème), Violetta (La Traviata), Juliette (Romeo et Juliette), Marfa (Tsar’s bride), Contessa (La nozze di Figaro), Nedda (I Pagliacci), Tatiana (Eugene Onegin), etc.
In 2024 she received Hilde Behrens Prize, in celebration of the 87th anniversary of Behrens’ birthday. She has collaborated with the great artists like Placido Domingo and Riccardo Muti. Recent highlights include performances alongside Andrea Bocelli during his European and American concert tours.
