GM Art&Music is thrilled to welcome Maestro Sasha Yankevych for Worldwide General Management.

Born in Ukraine in 1991, conductor Sasha Yankevych began playing the piano at the age of ten and graduated with honours from the Music Academy of Bydgoszcz in Poland. Sasha later joined the Opera Studio of the Warsaw State Opera and the Opera Studio of the Zürich Opera House before working as a répétiteur and assistant conductor at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm, where he developed a wide and rich operatic repertoire, ranging from Mozart to Bizet, from Verdi, Puccini and Rossini to Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich.
During those years, Sasha had the opportunity to work with eminent artists such as Fabio Luisi, Andreas Homoki, Gianluca Capuano, Pier Giorgio Morandi, Alan Gilbert, Asmik Grigorian, Anne Sofie von Otter, Malin Byström and Benjamin Bernheim, with whom he made his debut at the Théâtre national de Bordeaux in a gala celebrating the release of Bernheim’s Deutsche Grammophon CD. These and other collaborations further enriched his operatic experience.
Sasha studied conducting at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and has been mentored by Alan Gilbert at the Royal Swedish Opera House in Stockholm.
The 2026/27 season includes Yankevych’s debut at Teatro Colón with the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra in a programme featuring Lili Boulanger’s Faust et Hélène, followed by his debut at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari with Mahler’s Fourth Symphony. He will return to Teatro de la Maestranza for a production of Charles Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette and to the Hamburg Staatsoper for Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail. He will then make his debut with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, followed by his debut at Göteborg Opera with Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia.
