|New Signing| Caterina Piva

GM Art&Music is delighted to announce the signing of the Italian mezzo-soprano Caterina Piva for General Management.

Mezzosoprano Caterina Piva began her artistic training at a young age in the world of drama theater: she graduated in Acting in 2009 at Teatro Carcano in Milan, and in Opera Singing in 2017 at Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in the same city. After ranking in some international competitions, she was the winner in the category “New Voices” at the 69th Edition of the As.Li.Co. Competition.
In 2023 she sang Cherubino at the Royal Opera House in Muscat in Giorgio Strehler’s historical staging of Le nozze di Figaro conducted by Sesto Quatrini, and Smeton in Jetske Mijnnsen’s staging of Anna Bolena at Teatro di San Carlo, under the baton of Riccardo Frizza. Moreover, she returned to Salzburg Festival as Lady Macbeth Lady-in-waiting in Krzysztof Warlikowski’s new production conducted by Philippe Jordan.
Further highlights included Fenena at Festival Verdi di Parma under Giampaolo Bisanti, and the role debuts as Charlotte (Werther) with Donato Renzetti and Suzuki (Madama Butterfly) with Fabio Luisi at Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova.
Upcoming plans include  Stravinsky’s Pulcinella at Teatro di San Carlo with Ingo Metzmacher, Rossini’s Stabat Mater at Teatro Filarmonico di Verona conducted by Roberto Abbado and the role debut as Aristea (L’Olimpiade) at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées under the baton of Jean-Christophe Spinosi and the direction of Emmanuel Daumas.

Welcome on board, Caterina!
